Andrej Brumen Čop (1967, Maribor) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana under Professor Metka Krašovec in 1993, and two years later completed his specialization in painting under the same mentor at the same institution. Upon invitation of the Werkstadt Graz gallery in 1994, he was studying there as a resident artist. In 1995, he became a member of the Slovenian Association of Fine Arts Societies (ZDSLU) and a freelance artist in the field of culture.
In 1997, he received the scholarship for studying painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague for a few months. In 2000 and 2009, he received the scholarships for living and working in the New York and Berlin art residences of the Slovenian government. In the years 2001 and 2002, he was the editor in chief at the Art Words (Likovne besede) magazine. In addition to painting, he is creative also in book illustration, art design and experimental forms of artistic expression.
He is working in Ljubljana as Docent for painting at the Faculty of Education, University of Ljubljana.

Diplomirala na Akademiji za likovno umetnost in oblikovanje v Ljubljani. Nagrada Akademije za likovno umetnost in oblikovanje za posebne dosežke.2015
V sklopu natečaja Essl Art za Srednjo in Vzhodno Evropo je prejela posebno nagrado povabilo zbirateljev.2016
