He was born in 1967 in Zagreb. After completing his secondary education at the Applied Arts School in Zagreb, he attended the Zagreb Academy of Fine Arts and graduted in graphic arts from the academy in the class of professor Ante Kuduz in 1992.
He was teaching drawing and painting at the Department of Art Education of the Zagreb Academy of Fine Arts from 1995 to 2014, when he was appointed professor at the Department of Graphic Arts of Zagreb Academy of Fine Arts.
For his art project Wireframe, he was awarded the University of Zagreb's doctoral title for his artistic achievements. He was the president of the Croatian Association of Artists (HDLU) between 2001 and 2003, when he coordinated the project of the restoration of the Meštrović Pavillon, also known as the House of Croatian Artists.
