He was born in 1975 in Trbovlje. He graduated in painting from the University of Ljubljana Academy of Fine Arts and Design (ALUO) in 2003, and also completed his postgraduate studies of painting two years later.
In 2002, he gained additional experience as an exchange student at the Bolgarian Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia. He was selected artist for the Berlin residency of Slovenian Ministry of Culture in 2010, and resident artist at the European House of Art in Freising, Germany, in 2013.
He lives and works as independent artist in Ljubljana.
