He was born on 3rd November 1967 in Novo mesto. In 1993, he graduated under Professor Metka Krašovec at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design of the University of Ljubljana (ALUO). In 1992, he was awarded the Student Prešeren Award by ALU.
From 1995 to 2000, he served as the editor-in-chief of the magazine Likovne besede. He is a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Dolenjska, Bela Krajina, and Posavje (DLUD) and the Association of Slovenian Fine Artists (ZDSLU), where in 2024 he became the president of the Artistic Council.
Today he is a professor at PEF Maribor.

He was born on 14th May 1967 in Maribor. He graduated in painting from the University of Ljubljana Academy of Fine Arts (ALU) in 1995 and finished his postgraduate studies in painting under professor Metka Kraševec two years later.
In 1997 he received a scholarship for studying painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. He was awarded the fellowships of the national Ministry of Culture for working in the New York and Berlin studios in 2000 and 2009.
He presented his works at many solo and group exhibitions in Slovenia and abroad. He works as assistant professor for drawing and painting at the University of Ljubljana Faculty of Education (PEF) since 2009.
